CMRS Medical Billing
As the old saying goes, money makes the world go round. For medical offices that means the doors stay open and people get paid. Who is in charge of making that happen? Medical billers. But, the job of a medical biller is not simply sending invoices and collecting payments. Medical billers can also help patients navigate the frustrating and confusing world of insurance. To be a medical biller it takes someone who is highly-organized and analytical.
Program Highlights and Topics
While medical billing and coding is often regarded as the same job, they are actually two different activities. However, medical billers still need to understand coding language and how to interpret invoices. This role is a good fit for anyone looking for balance between working with people and processing invoices and data. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that medical record and health information jobs will increase by 15 percent between 2014-2024.
In the CMRS Medical Billing certificate from Bryant & Stratton College Continuing Education we’ll cover what you need to be a successful medical biller. The bootcamp featured at the end of the certificate program drills students in preparation for the CMRS exam which they will begin at the end of the 6 week course. This also includes a 1-year membership to the AMBA plus the cost of the exam. The Certificate in Medical Reimbursement prepares students to take the national billing certification (Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist-CMRS) from the American Billing Association (AMBA).
